Siddikur became the first ever player from Bangladesh to earn playing rights on the Asian Tour when he finished in the top-40 at Qualifying School in 2009. He dominated the amateur scene on home soil with five wins and claimed seven other titles abroad. In his rookie season on the Asian Tour, he posted three top-20 results but in 2010, Siddikur broke through in a big way. At the Queen’s Cup in Thailand, he contended for the title before posting his career first top-10 and subsequently lifted his first Asian Tour victory when he defeated Jbe Kruger of South Africa in a play-off at the Brunei Open to become the first Bangladeshi to win on Tour.
